Anchorperson: Welcome to the show, I am your host Muhammad Daud Khan and you are listening “Main Bhi Pakistan Hoon”.  Today, we will follow previous program topic improvised explosive devices (IED). Listeners have also showed more interest in the topic in previous show. We talked about the structure and damages of the roadside bombs in the last program.

However, today we will try to talk about the back ground history of the IEDs. History says roadside bomb blasts were first time used by provincial Irish Republic Army against the British military in 1970.  The bomb was produced from fertilizer and other materials smuggled from Libya. It is also called remote control bomb. The IEDs are being planted to target convoy. It can be exploded by remote, pressure and electric wire.

Explosive materials can also target us in our villages. Whether, we should inform the concern authorities about the suspected people or explosive materials? Whether it is our responsibility to inform the concern authorities about a suspected materials or not? Some domestic products can also be used in the production of IEDs.  Whether, we should call the police in case a layman buys huge quantity of these domestic products in the market or not? We can call police and other concern department in case of emergency. What do you think? We are discussing citizen’s responsibilities in this regard. Whether, we should fulfill our responsibilities in the restoration of peace in our area or not? Everyone blames US, India and Israel for current violence and worst law and order situation in the country. We cannot hundred percent reject this perception.  However, no one can deteriorate law and order in our area without the assistance of local people. But, majority of our people are taking part in violence activities in the country.  Therefore, we should distance ourselves from such activities. We should protect our country, people and areas. We should serve for the welfare of our society. We should avoid from harmful activities in the society. The aim of our program is to create awareness among the people about their responsibilities. You can also share your views with us. Now, we are moving toward your calls.

Call, no-1(Fazal Mohammad from UAE): I appreciate your program and topic.

Call, no-2(Sohail from UAE): IEDs can kill and injure any person in our area. Therefore, it is our responsibility to cooperate with the government and concern departments to overcome this issue. We should inform the government in case of any suspected persons and materials. We should offer sacrifices for the peace and stability of Waziristan.

Call, no-3(Ashfaq from Wana): It is every citizen’s responsibility to rescue children first from any suspected explosive materials and then inform the concern authorities. However, we can only contact with the political administration in case of emergency but its phone remains busy at evening.  We should create awareness among the children in homes and in schools about the IEDs. We should tell the children to don’t touch suspected materials.

Call, no-4(Nisar from North Waziristan): We should inform the government in case of any suspected materials in the country. However, the government should also provide special training to the citizen to depose explosive materials. Special cell should be established in the government departments to contact it in case of suspected materials and emergency.

Anchorperson: We should fulfill our responsibilities and inform the government about suspected materials to save people.

Call, no-5(Sanaullah from Sargodha): We should fulfill our responsibility in the society.

Anchorperson:  Thanks for your participation in the program and Allah hafiz.  End
